April 8 total solar eclipse over the silhouette of Mount Katahdin in Maine.
Start-to-finish composite: from just after first contact at 2:21 p.m. through maximum totality at 3:33 p.m. and fourth contact — the end of the eclipse — at 4:40 p.m.
Instead of presenting my composite on a completely black background, I decided to use an image that I shot with a separate camera during totality. Then I layered in 14 photos of the eclipse’s partial phases (seven prior to totality and seven after) along with the first and second diamond rings and first and second Baily’s beads, all surrounding that magnificent moment of totality.

Available printed on photo paper or aluminum in a variety of sizes. Photo paper images will arrive unframed and will need to be framed before hanging. Aluminum prints will arrive ready for hanging.

No additional charge for shipping.
